Shanghai, Part 5

A day on which Shanghai showed me its beautiful face. The air was relatively clean, the weather was as warm and sunny as a summer’s day. I went to the People’s Park and sat outside and admired the architecture and the gorgeous little children who were running around under the watchful eyes of their doting families.

Shanghai Museum.

Full of ancient sculptures. That is a Bodhisattva, painted and gilded wood, from the Song dynasty, AD 960-1279.

And that is a Lokapala, stone, also from the Song dynasty.

These are Tibetan ceremonial masks, early 20th century.

1 Art point, when I have time to collect it. Right now I must go to work. See you later.
