Festival Day 2, Saturday. The big, headline act of the whole festival, from Kingston, Jamaica, Daddy U-Roy. A man whose musical career has spanned an amazing 50 years. In 2007 U-Roy was awarded the Order of Distinction by the Jamaican government for his contribution to music.
U-Roy at One Love last night:
I had a spot right at the very front of the crowd, next to the press area. I felt so thrilled to see him live, and at such close proximity. I might have teared up a bit.

U-Roy’s classic hit Chalice in the Palace (he performed this last night, was guaranteed to get a warm reaction in London because it’s about the Queen).
