Sigh. He was a thoroughly nice guy. English gent. Nice. Pleasant. A good chap. Decent. Nice manners. Well-travelled. We had a nice chat over drinks and dinner and it was all too obvious that we are not a good match. He’s sweet but I’m a much stronger personality and have very strong views about things. It just was not happening. If there’s one thing I cannot be in this life, it is the wife of an Englishman. I can do better than that, I know it and they know it.
On the way home I texted Abdul in Egypt. I told him to call off his engagement to his nice Muslim fiancee. I told him I will come back to Egypt, buy a flat there and I will help him start a business. I signed it #atheisthomewrecker.
